On 5 and 6 june this year, a series of major commemorations in the uk and france will honour the brave personnel who risked their lives for freedom and peace. There will be refreshments available, music from a local.
At the promenade bandstand, following the opening of the event by the mayor of llandudno, the band will play a selection of music from the wwii era. Yate town council’s beacon lighting event takes place at tylers field on thursday 6 june from 7pm with musical entertainment before the beacon is lit at 9.15pm.
